Villars Resort Information

The charming village of Villars is located on a sunny plateau with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, low level chalets and a bustling centre with modern amenities. The rack and pinion railway winds its way through the resort and up to the ski area which is linked to neighbouring Les Diablerets.

With fantastic views towards the Mont Blanc and the spectacular jagged peaks of the ‘Dents du Midi’, Villars is an attractive ski resort just a short transfer from Geneva airport.

Beginners will love the village nursery slopes and wide blue runs of Bretaye where there's plenty of space on the slopes to perfect those turns, and for intermediates, there's a variety of challenging reds on Chaux Ronde and Grand & Petit Chamossaire, as well as a link to Les Diablerets and its glacier.

A firm favourite with families, the resort has a well-recommended ski school and a relaxed atmosphere.

Activities include: Snow-shoe trekking & paragliding, leisure centre with pool, skating rink, ‘Formula Charity Grand Prix’ scheduled for 12-13 Jan with 24 hours of skiing/ boarding and live music, Lavey les Bains thermal spa is nearby and Montreux & Lake Geneva are an hour away by train for a day trip, Swimming pool, Ice skating, Curling, Paragliding, Bowling alley, Snowshoeing, 30km winter walks, Excursions to Montreux & Lausanne.
