The resort |
 |
A true mix of international flare and village culture
Nestling in a wide sunny bowl above the Rhône Valley, with breathtaking views of the mountains that separate Switzerland, Italy and France, the ski resort of Verbier retains a wonderfully alpine charm. As part of the four valleys, the ski area is vast, high and varied with over 400km of runs including Thyon, Veysonnaz and Nendaz. Majestic pine trees span out above and below the resort, which, after a fresh snowfall, give an entrancing ‘winter wonderland’ feel to the resort.

The skiing and boarding |
 |
The Mont Fort Glacier at 3300 metres has guaranteed snow throughout the season and is easily accessible via the largest cable car in Switzerland. For beginners there is a choice of nursery slopes at the back of the village and an excellent ski school. You will soon progress to the sunny slopes of Savoleyres, the gentle tree-lined runs to Tzoumaz and the wide, open slopes of the glacier. While Verbier has plenty for everybody, it has built its reputation as an advanced skiers’ paradise. more >>
