Sestriere Resort Information |
 |
Sestriere gained international renown during February 1997 when it hosted the World Cup Ski Races and it was selected to host the 2006 Winter Olympics.
Now an international resort, it is part of the famous 'Milky Way' ski circuit, a magnificent area with over 400kms of pistes with excellent skiing for all grades in spectacular scenery.
Situated just above the treeline this snowy, purpose built resort has an understated feel to it, with an après-ski agenda more relaxed than its’ livelier neighbour Sauze d’Oulx, and offers the complete range of skiing experiences within, Sestriere is the highest and most snowsure resort in this area.
Intermediates enjoy the chance to ski long distances and ski to adjacent resorts.
The more expert can try the Olympic slalom run down to Borgata.
Sat on a high, sunny col, Sestrière is a place you can ski until your legs give out, and then indulge in the Italian love of sunbathing on a truly relaxing holiday.
