Les Houches Resort

Les Houches is an attractive, traditional village resort 6 kms from Chamonix, enjoying a wonderful setting at the foot of the spectacular Mont Blanc.

The resort is well known for hosting the annual Kandahar Alpine World Cup downhill race.

The local ski area, historically the best in the valley when conditions elsewhere are poor, provides breathtaking scenery, excellent tree-lined pistes and some fabulous cruising for intermediates.

The Mont Blanc “Unlimited” pass opens up the whole Chamonix area, with its fantastic off piste including the Vallée Blanche, as well as a day in the Italian resort of Courmayeur.

Apres Ski in Les Houches

Night life is quiet, although there are a number of pleasant bars and good value restaurants, and buses to and from Chamonix run all evening.

Things to do in Les Houches

Snow shoeing, cross country skiing, dog sledding, ice skating, night skiing on Tourchet piste every Thursday, open air market, restaurants and bars.
