Heavenly by name, Heavenly by nature…!

Surrounded by the highest concentration of ski resorts in the US is Lake Tahoe. The state line dividing Nevada and California divides the lake and runs through one of the biggest resorts: Heavenly. The attraction of this area is that from one or two bases you can visit most resorts. Heavenly stands out as one of best areas both in terms of skiable terrains, and choice of good value accommodation.

The skiing and boarding

Heavenly, is the highest and the largest of the resorts around Lake Tahoe. From the high-speed gondola in the middle of town you will find some amazing snow (its normal for here) and if that does not take your breath away, the views will. Heavenly boasts long, beautifully groomed tree-lined runs, some hair-raising steeps and powder to die for.

The apres ski

On the Nevada side of Heavenly expect something akin to Los Vegas - gambling and top entertainment on offer in the famous casinos. Food is fantastic value for money and if you have the strength, the nightlife just doesn’t stop. On the California side things are more sedate and calm!
