The extensive Gasteinertal ski area is one of the largest in Austria.

The attractive town of Bad Hofgastein has a bustling centre and excellent amenities, not to mention the famous spas.

The skiing and boarding is superb - you need almost never take the same piste twice in a week, and if you head off-piste with a guide the area almost doubles again!

First-timers will prefer the nursery slopes in Angertal and progress to the Schlossalm and Dorfgastein.

Advanced skiers will enjoy a varied choice of black runs and plenty of off piste.
