Ski Holidays In St Anton

Austria's most popular resort, renown for world-class après ski
Austria's premier ski resort, St Anton is a popular choice given its reputation for tough and challenging skiing and its famous après-ski action. The resort has a long standing history and is a historical Austrian mountain town lying on the Orient Express train route which popular for its buzzing nightlife. The resort benefits from modern facilities and recent investment has seen a mix of traditional renovations and new property developments. St Anton is now fairly commercialized but still retains the Charm and appeal you expect from a traditional Austrian Town.

The ski resort is part of the Arlberg Ski-Circus which covers a total of 86 lifts and offers some of the best off-piste skiing in Austria. The animated village centre is nearly car free making it a safe Haven for pedestrians. The world famous après-ski and challenging Ski runs Make St Anton a returning choice for many skiers season after season.

Ski Accommodation In St Anton

Unlike a lot of Austrian ski resorts, St Anton has a great selection of catered chalets, as well as a good selection of hotels.

As one of the most popular ski resorts in Austria, St Anton is considered slightly more up market when compared to the majority of ski resorts in Europe, however prices in the resort tend to be reasonable and if you plan your holiday well it can be a lot more affordable than you may think.

About the Skiing and Boarding in St Anton

St Anton caters mainly for the intermediate/advanced skiers and boarders with a high percentage of challenging red and black runs. Beginners are taken care of just above the village towards Nasserein, where there are some nice nursery slopes and some gentle blues but we would advise a couple of days in Lech the neighboring resort which is more suitable for the less confident skier.
Boarders will find areas of the resort have allot of flat but the advanced rider should find plenty to challenge themselves and it's worth it if you're looking for that perfect off piste line which is partly what St Anton has become popular for over the years.

Après Ski in St Anton

Although St Anton is compact and pedestrianised, it has a small-town atmosphere with a typical Austrian feel, unique to ski resorts in the Alps. Its central main road is lined with bars, restaurants and shops. There is a huge range of bars and pubs to suit any mood.

St Anton is also enhanced by the huge range of activities on offer such as; ice skating, Curling, Bowling, Tobogganing, Sleigh rides and the 4.2 km floodlit sled course from Gampen to 'Rodelstall' in Nasserein which has been described as the best in Europe. Also the leisure centre found in the heart of St. Anton is worth a visit and features in/outdoor pools connected via a whirlpool, with waterfalls and a separate children's section, a fitness centre, range of saunas, steam rooms and large frozen lake for ice-skating and curling.

Best for...

The world famous Mooservirt and Krazy Kangaroo bars should both be experienced by all at least once. Enjoy euro pop to live music in a resort like no other.
We love all of our properties in St Anton but if we had to choose then we'd recommend Chalet Schlosskopf, Chalet Baren and Chalet Eisfall for their excellent locations.
 ...big ski area!
St Anton is part of the incredible Arlberg Valley where you can cover over 250km of marked pistes. Head over to Stuben to get away from the crowds and enjoy the fantastic off-piste.
