The Salzburgerland's Skicircus ski area just got bigger!
Already famed for an excellent range of pistes and an efficient lift system, this ski area emcompasses Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Leogang AND, new for the 2015/16 ski season, it will link up to Fieberbrunn too! The area will be connected by a speedy 10-seater gondola lift which will carry up to 2600 guests an hour and will not only link up two ski areas but will actually link up the two states Salzburg & Tyrol as well. We can hardly wait!

Set in the province of Salzburgerland, this magnificent ski area is renowned for its excellent range of pistes and efficient lift system, connecting Saalbach to Hinterglemm and Leogang. The attractive twin villages of Saalbach and neighbouring Hinterglemm boast a vast interconnecting ski circus with a network of 54 lifts and up to 9 access points within the picturesque Glemm valley - an intermediate skier's dream! On powder days you'll also find tremendous off piste through the trees, and local guides eager to show you the way. The area has an excellent snow record as well as some wonderful sun traps where you can sit out on the terraces of rustic mountain restaurants, relax and enjoy the views! Nursery slopes are right in the centre of both villages and the ski area is perfect for budding snowboarders with two parks with half pipes. Saalbach offers quick access, via an impressive lift system, to a large, well-linked ski area known as the 'Ski Circus'. With over 200km of runs, it is one of the best-suited areas for keen intermediates who will struggle to cover every run in a week.

About the Skiing and Boarding in Saalbach
Saalbach is a great all rounded resort with lots to offer the skier/boarder of any level. There is a selection of blue and red runs, with wide open terrain and long tree lined piste providing picturesque scenery that everyone can enjoy. The beginner slopes are located right in the village centre, allowing easy access to the lifts for group or family skiing.
Experts will test the World Cup Downhill run from Zwolferkogel (Hinterglemm area). On powder days you'll also find tremendous off piste through the trees, and local guides eager to show you the way. The north-facing runs have a decent snow record and the south-facing (and sunny) area is helped with excellent snow-making facilities, covering 90% on the terrain.
Spread across the entire ski area, there are about 40 wonderful sun traps where you can sit out on the terraces of rustic mountain restaurants, relax and enjoy the views! Nursery slopes are right in the centre of both villages and the ski schools have excellent reputation. The ski area is also perfect for budding snowboarders with extensive choice of runs and off-piste, and there are two parks with half pipes. Hinterglemm also features an exceptional night park open until 9.30pm!
Apres Ski In Saalbach & Hinterglemm
Saalbach is a pretty pedestrianized town with a vibrant après-ski scene. There are lots of “rocking” bars with some live-music bands ensuring a wild party atmosphere! Hinterglemm is a long village, situated 4km away from Saalbach, and has a convenient access to the lifts from the centre. Although, the resort ski bus doesn’t stop near every accommodation. Hinterglemm has also one of the liveliest nightlife in Austria, with lots of fun bars.
