The resort where exciting skiing meets a relaxed and traditional Austrian village
Situated in the spectacular Ötz Valley, Obergurgl & Hochgurgl resorts are amongst the highest ski resorts in Austria at 1930m and 2163m respectively. With excellent snow records, skiers and snowboarders can enjoy a long lasting ski season across these two linked ski areas.
As one of our leading ski areas, this compact village is still small enough to meet up with friends on the slopes, at the popular Nederhutte mountain hut or back down in the village for a nice beer and a view of the surrounding Austrian scenery.
The nursery slopes are gentle and the whole ski area has extensive choice for skiers and boarders who like spacious blue and red runs. Obergurgl-Hochgurgl has 4'230 guest beds and the majority of its visitors come from Germany, Great Britain, Austria and the Benelux Countries.
Obergurgl's resort centre has little traffic and numerous shops, cafés, restaurants and bars, many of which have a traditional and charming atmosphere, providing plenty to see and do at the end of a day's skiing.
This resort attracts a loyal following of beginners, intermediates and families every winter thanks to snow sure slopes, great quality accommodation and a relaxed resort atmosphere.
