Après Ski in Mayrhofen
Mayrhofen is the largest town in the Ziller Valley, a very popular place for Germans and Austrians. There is great après ski everywhere in the Valley, with bars right on the piste and clubs open from 10pm to 4 am; Mayrhofen welcomes you to party hard, Austrian style!
At the top of the Penken gondola (which takes you to and from the main ski area) is where the après starts with two umbrella bars, 'Schirm' & 'Pilz', serving shots and test tubes of assorted Schnapps. The 'Eis Bar' right at the bottom of the Penken blares music through a mammoth system making it a popular choice for the early evening. They also claim to serve more Grolsh beer than any other bar in Europe! 'Nikki's Schirmbar', is another favourite, just across the river. Meanwhile, if you are looking for taste of home, the 'Scotland Yard' is a British-style pub with an extensive selection of English and Austrian on-tap beers.
