Ski Holidays In Finland
Finland, home to about 35 different ski areas, is probably most well-known for its Lapland area. Including the Levi & Yllas resorts, and of course Santa Claus, Lapland is located above the Arctic Circle in the very north of the country and is commonly known as the ‘Land of Extremes’ with the miles of wilderness and pure nature. A holiday to Lapland promises excellent snow across wide groomed runs – perfect for skiers who don’t fancy the hustle and bustle of the Alpine resorts.
For those looking for more than a standard ski holiday, Finland has such a wide choice of other activities for you to partake in including reindeer sleigh rides, snowmobile safaris and fabulous cross-country skiing plus much more. Not to mention, if you’re lucky towards the end of the season there’s a fine chance you’ll see the Aurora Borealis (aka Northern Lights).
