Ski Holidays In Chamonix

Year round mountain lovers paradise with beautiful scenery.
Sprawled at the foot of the Aguille du Midi, the ski resort of Chamonix is an old traditional town with mountain activity all year round. Although the ski area is spread out over 11 disconnected sections, they are all worth exploring and almost all the runs are above the tree line. Catching a bus to the different ski areas is the way of life in Chamonix, so having a car can be an advantage. The centre of Chamonix is car free and there are plenty of shops, cafes and bars to sit in and relax as your eyeline is instinctivly drawn to the peaks above you.

Ski Accommodation In Chamonix

Chamonix combines a wonderful variety of accommodation with charm and comfort to create the ideal ski experience. There is something for everyone in this traditional alpine resort and it provides an ample choice of locations, price and amenities. Both catered and self-catered apartments are on offer which creates the luxury of your own home away from home, along with a wide selection of hotels that are ideal for families or small groups.

About the Skiing and Boarding in Chamonix

Spread out over the valley, the ski resort of Chamonix has everything to offer. Beginners have a nursery area fairly separate from the rest of the slopes so there is no need not worry about people speeding past. Intermediates have a good choice of places to refine their skills - Col de Balme above La Tour offers good cruising runs and the Brevent and Flegere areas both offer a good mix of blues and reds.

The ski resort of Chamonix is however, one of the great resorts for an expert skiier. To make the most of the area, we recommend hiring a guide to show you some of the best off piste. The famous Vallee Blanche is one to do if you are a seasoned skier, looking for adventure and some stunning scenery. There are plenty of other great runs off the Grand Montets cable car, a variety of runs from the Brevant cable car, and from La Tour, there are some good off-piste runs back to the village or towards Vallorcine.

Chalet Hotel Sapiniere is arguably the best located chalet hotel in Chamonix, perfectly located only a few moments away from the Savoy lift which takes you straight up to the Brevent-Flegere ski area.
