About the Skiing and Boarding in Aspen

The ski area in Aspen offers something for everyone. Spread over four separate areas which include Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass with an efficient free shuttle service conveniently connecting them. Snowmass alone provides almost 60% of the total skiing available and is the third largest ski area in Colorado.

Beginners should head for gentle runs in Buttermilk before progressing on to Snowmass. Intermediates warm up those ski legs on Snowmass and make for Aspen Mountain (where there is no beginner territory) while advanced skiers can tackle steep runs on Aspen Mountain and Highlands, the locals' favourite. Snowboarders in Aspen will love the world's largest terrain park in Buttermilk.
