Salomon issue ski binding recall
Category: General news | Published: 16th October 2009

Salomon has announced a safety recall of the toe components of certain ski bindings manufactured between July and October 2008.

Salomon decided to carry out a precautionary recall of the toe pieces of Salomon, Atomatic and TECHNOpro branded ski bindings that were produced between July and October 2008 and sold in the 2008/2009 season. These bindings were manufactured by Salomon and share the same toe piece construction. This recall is effective immediately and these bindings must no longer be used until the toe component is replaced as it is believed that in certain circumstances, the toe components may not fully secure the ski boot into the binding, possibly causing the binding to release inadvertently.

SALOMON models affected: LZ 7, LZ 8, LZ 9, LZ 7 SR, LZ 8 SR, LZ 8 SC, JLZ 9

AUTOMATIC models affected: eVOX 2.8, eVOX 2.8+, eVOX2.8++,FFG8

TECHNOpro models affected: TL 70, TL 80, TL 70 SP, TL 80 SP, TL 70 SR

Check your bindings! Free replacement of affected toe components are available.
