Situated on an open plateau in the wide Brixen valley about 15 kms from Kitzbühel, this small and charming Tyrolean village is lucky to be untouched by building development, which leaves it freshly traditional. Westendorf’s main ski area, ideal for those who like open blue and red runs, is reached by a 6-seater gondola and ascends the Alpenrose in two stages. The ideally placed nursery slopes are directly in the village centre. A free ski bus enables easy access to the nearby 250km of slopes of the SkiWelt circuit with a huge variety of skiing for intermediates and advanced skiers.

About the Skiing and Boarding in Westendorf
Westendorf is a wonderful resor for beginners and intermediates to gently challenge themselves and improve their skiing and boarding. There is great off-piste skiing for experts and some testing groomed runs. There is an extensive snowpark for riders to play on, as well as plenty of smooth long runs down to the centre of the SkiWelt area.

Westendorf is popular for young people in high season for its nightlife, as well as great skiing. The apres is lively straight after skiing in the afternoon, and the prices are reasonable. The Liftstuberl, at the bottom of the gondola, is packed at the end of the day. The Village Pub and In's Moment are very popular and fun later in the evening. For off the mountain acitivities, Westendorf gets top marks. There is plenty to do including boling, ice-skating, indoor tennis, horse-riding and more. There is a sauna too.
