Verbier Ski Resort, Switzerland

International flare, village culture and some of the best skiing in the Alps.
Verbier, nestled in a wide sunny bowl above the Rhône Valley, provides spectacular mountain views that separate Switzerland, Italy and France. The ski resort of Verbier retains a wonderfully alpine charm and as part of the four valleys, the ski area of Verbier is vast, high and varied. With over 400km of runs including Thyon, Veysonnaz and Nendaz, Verbier is home to some of the most challenging skiing in the Alps. Majestic pine trees span out above and below the ski resort, which, after a fresh snowfall, give an entrancing ‘winter wonderland’ feel to the resort.

Verbier also has some great hotels, but again, they are generally quite up market luxury properties.
