Val Cenis Ski Resort, France
A prestigious and natural ski area
Val Cenis has a privileged location in the northern French Alps, in Savoie, in the national Vanoise Park. This friendly and authentic ski resort has remained unspoilt and incrowded, as it is based around traditional mountain communities. The scenery is beautiful and the atmosphere peaceful, thanks to it not being a busy tourist destination. However, it does have everything you need for a fun family skiing holiday! There is so much to do off the mountain in Val Cenis, with plenty of shops, a wellness centre, toboggan runs, a bowling complex, two cinemas and two ice-skating rinks. There are also free shuttles running in and around the resort.

Val Cenis Resort Accommodation
The accommodation in Val Cenis is rich and varied, offering comfort and affordability for all. There are some great self-catering apartments right on the slopes that are very reasonably priced. These apartments are all 3-4 star ratings. The accommodation is very low rise unlike similar resorts in the area, which makes for more picturesque scenery.
The Skiing and Boarding in Val Cenis
Val Cenis is located at the top of Haute Maurienne which is a North facing mountain, so a great snow record is maintained year after year. We think this small resort is one of the best family ski holiday destinations in Europe. Val Cenis has one of the best range of skiing opportunities for all levels, and contrary to other French resorts of its size, the lift systems are amazing - speedy, uncrowded and varied. There are plenty of 5 seater chair lifts, along with gondolas and ski lifts. This means you get the most out of your time on the slopes! There is no shortage of snow canons on these mountains with artificial snow covering up to 2350m.
The Apres Ski in Val Cenis
The village is enjoyable with lots to do, and a fun atmosphere. Take your pick from watching a film, ice-skating, bowling and shopping. As this is a great family resort, there isn't a big apres ski culture. Though there are a few good bars and pubs, there aren't any discos or loud bars.
