About the Skiing and Boarding

Megeve is an all-rounder resort in terms of skiing and boarding. The is excellent tuition for beginners, and gentle slopes to start them off. For intermediates there are lesisurely, tree lined runs to enjoy, and the 'Mont d'Arbois' provides more challenging red runs. Advanced skiiers will love the 'Mont Joux' ski area for its steep runs. The powder and off-piste skiing is a main attraction here also. Chamonix is only a half hour's drive away, and offers some of the best advanced skiing in the Alps. Megeve is a great place for new snowboarders with its beginner trails. For the more experienced, the Mont Joux terrain park and freeride trails are the places to be. Rochebrune also has boardercross to be taken advantage of.

This classy resort knows how to socialise in style with its jazz clubs, piano bars and gourmet restaurants. The apres ski in Megeve always starts with window shopping in the afternoon, or just strolling the traffic-free, cobbled streets. Club de Jazz Les Cinq Rues, and some of its neighbours, attract some of the best jazz bands from both sides of the Atlantic. Wake Up is a popular cocktail and tapas bar.  Palais des Sports has an ourdoor skating rink and a pool.
