Located  4 miles from the town of Mammoth lakes, the ski resort of Mammoth Mountain has one of the longest running ski seasons in America and has some of the highest levels of snowfall each year.  Due the distance between the town and the resort itself, the accommodation based in the resort itself has the advantage of being ski in and ski out.
