Ski Holidays in Les Deux Alpes
Good Snow Conditions, Europe's largest skiable glacier and year round action
One of the highest resorts in France, the historic and charming ski resort of Les Deux Alpes has 220 kms of piste and the lifts in Les Deux Alpes are every few hundred yards, so you are never far away from one.
Ski slopes run down both sides of the ski resort in a high altitude valley joining the 'two alps' of Venosc and Mont de Lans. Les Deux Alpes is ideal for non-skiers, as it gives access to both the glacier and the lower village of Venosc by gondola. A funicular passes through the ice to La Meije glacier (3570 metres) which provides skiing all year round, a great slalom training course and a huge snowpark throughout the summer season also. There are breathtaking views and superb snow conditions, all at a reasonable price.

There are plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and nightclubs plus a cinema, bowling alley and sports facilities spread across the long road through the village however there is a huge choice of bars.
Popular British favourites are 'The Secret' (below the Hotel Cret) with good prices and a lively atmosphere, 'Smithy's', which has regular events and live music and if your after some tasty traditional cuisine head to 'Le Trappeur' for some fantastic, reasonably priced authentic French cuisine and a shot of locally made Génépi. While 'Santa Fee' and the 'Brazilian' are popular with French tourists, most of the 32 bars around town have a mix of patrons, truly offering something for everyone.
