La Rosiere Ski Resort, France
Sunny, high altitude resort with great views over the valley
La Rosiere’s high, sunny location in the Tarentaise Valley offers fantastic views of Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa. La Rosiere has been built in a traditional chalet style along the road which leads from Bourg St. Maurice to the Petit-St-Bernard pass. La Rosiere is linked to the Espace San Bernardo ski area which includes La Thuile in Italy, giving you the chance to pop over the border for a real Italian pizza for lunch!

La Rosiere Accommodation
With a good mix of accommodation, all to a good standard, La Rosiere is a great resort if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the larger more commercial ski resorts, but still want to stay in the type of catered chalets the larger resorts offer.
About the Skiing and Boarding in La Rosiere
The ski resort of La Rosiere has something to offer every level of skier. For the beginner there are two great nursery areas, one near the main village and one near Les Eucherets where many new chalets are being built. For the intermediate there are plenty of reds and blues on both the La Rosiere side and on the Italian side towards La Thuile. The expert can find some good off-piste and will enjoy the famous Marcassin run to La Vaz, as well as the opportunity to try heli-skiing across the border in Italy.
Apres Ski in La Rosiere
La Rosiere is a growing resort which now has a choice of quiet and more lively bars, including Arpin’s, a popular karaoke venue, and Le Pub, which is open until late. There are several restaurants in the village centre serving Savoyard and Italian specialities. There is a cinema and an indoor climbing wall, and the ski school can organise paragliding and scenic flights. Children or those young at heart can even enjoy a visit to see the real St Bernard dogs!
