About the Skiing and Boarding in La Plagne

Skiing in La Plagne offers something for all levels of skier. The terrain varies from glacier to powder snowfields and forest. There are 225km of pistes in La Plagne, offering the largest amount of skiing anywhere, by any other ski resort. Lift passes purchased for six days or more are valid for a day skiing in other top skiing resorts including Val d'Isere, Tignes and Courchevel. More convenient though is the Paradiski link by the spectacular Vanoise Express double-decker cable car to the Les Arcs ski area across the valley, more or less doubling the skiing available from your doorstep.

Après Ski in La Plagne

La Plagne offers something for everybody. Families, groups and people of all ages will find something to do after skiing. In Plagne Centre alone there are dozens of restaurants, shops, bars and a cinema, all connected by underground passages. The bars are great for a younger crowd, the 'no Bl'm Café' being the liveliest with a massive TV screen showing sports and films and has occasional live music.  In Belle Plagne, 'Tete Inn', 'Cheyenne' and 'Saloon' are popular haunts. The 'Saloon' often features DJs until late and gets pretty crowded. Plagne 1800 is fairly quiet, though 'Mama Mia's' is said to be fun and eccentric. There is an abundance of restaurants in La Plagne offering something to cover every taste & budget from casual pizzerias to the traditional raclette & fondue. 'Le Petit Chaperone Rouge' is a restaurant in 1800 with good food and an interesting loud decor of neon lights and huge screens, plus you could combine a meal here with a sleigh ride for a romantic evening.
In Plagne Bellecôte there is an outdoor heated swimming pool and two natural ice skating rinks on ponds, which you can also book to play ice hockey on. The Olympic Bobsleigh run can be taken on in a variety of downhill options depending on your fear factor! A popular apres ski activity is Snowmobiling through the trees.
