The ski resort of Kitzbuhel was one of the first international resorts and still entices visitors from all over the world. Kitzbuhel is situated in a broad valley, surrounded by three major ski areas. The town centre is medieval with cobbled streets and has remained unspoilt. Kitzbuhel is especially picturesque and you will often hear the jingle of bells as horse-drawn sleighs are pulled through its cobbled, traffic-free town centre. It is possible to buy a pass that allows you to ski in other local resorts thus giving you over 600km of pistes to ski. The Kitzbüheler Alpen ski pass provides access to neighbouring resorts such as Alpbach and Ski Welt.
