Set amidst magnificent scenery at the foot of the Bischofsmütze mountain and Dachstein glacier, Filzmoos attracts guests who are looking for a typical Austrian village with many facilities close at hand. Gentle nursery slopes, conveniently in the village centre, are ideal for beginners and the central ‘Papageno’ six-person gondola gives access to marvellous descents directly down to the village. Wherever you ski, the slopes are usually uncrowded with virtually no lift queues.

About the Skiing and Boarding in Filzmoos
The small resort of Filzmoos provides idyllic scenery perfect for the beginner or first time skier/boarder. Providing 8 blue runs and 5 reds, this resort is ideal for improving your skills and gaining confidence on the hill. The nursery slopes run back down to the village centre, so it can be easily accessed for families or groups of learners. There are only two chairlifts, so it is fairly limited for advanced and even intermediate skiers.
