The ski resort of Courchevel is made up of four different villages, generally known by the numbers of their altitude. The mountain road to Courchevel winds up from Le Praz (1300), the quaintest village past 1550, through 1650 to 1850. The ski resort of Courchevel 1850 is probably the most cosmopolitan of the four villages in the Trois Vallees and certainly one of the top luxury resorts in the world.  The lift system covers both sides of the valley and the world's largest cable car, heading up to La Saulire, connects Courchevel to the rest of the 3 Valley ski area. With spectacular scenery, wonderful restaurants and great nightlife, Courchevel is an excellent choice for your  ski holiday.

The ski resort of Courchevel has some of the best groomed pistes in Europe and forms part of the fabulous Trois Vallées ski area (600km). The Courchevel lift system is excellent, enabling beginners to find wide and easy slopes, intermediates to ski and board the length and breadth of the Trois Vallées on exciting reds or leisurely blues, and experts to find truly challenging blacks and vast areas of off-piste. The facilities for free-stylers are excellent across the whole Trois Valleés ski area.

Apres ski in the ski resort of Courchevel is plentiful and varied. All four villages have a variety of bars and restaurants. The ski resort of Courchevel 1850 has the largest selection of après-ski activities, with a wide choice of good bars, restaurants, boutiques and nightspots. For refreshment close to home you need venture no further than TJ's bar (ground floor of the hotel Catina). 1850 has 2 popular nightclubs Le Purple and Le Kalico, both of which feature a wide range of resident DJs and live bands. There are also many relaxing bars throughout the villages of Courchevel which stay open late, such as Bubble Bar in 1650 which has satellite TV showing sports and films, and internet access. Other places to head as the slopes close in 1650 are Rocky's, Space Bar and Moriond Lounge. In 1550 head to The Bar, Barouf and Channossa for great happy hour deals and original music. Other activities on offer in Courchevel include ice-skating, bowling, tobogganing, ice climbing, hang-gliding, climbing, skidooing and cinemas in both 1650 and 1850 showing english spoken films.
