Claviere Ski Resort, Italy
Claviere sits on the Italy side of the France-Italy border and is Italy's first ski resort. The resort is charmingly traditional and has a very relaxed atmosphere. Claviere is connected to 400km of piste in the large Milky Way ski area, and neighbours other fantastic ski resorts like Montgenèvre in France, in addition to Sauze, Sestriere, Sansicario and Cesana. The skiing in this resort is fairly laid back, excellent for beginner and intermediate skiiers.

About the Skiing and Boarding in Claviere
The nursery slopes are found in the centre of the resort, then beginners can move up with the La Coche chairlift to a wide blue run that will gently take you back down into Claviere. The Milky Way is a haven for intermediate skiiers. There is plenty from the top of Claviere to keep you busy for hours. Advanced skiiers can take the 4-seater Col Boeuf chairlift, at the bottom of Claviere, for more challenging off-piste and speedy pistes. You can also race down black 99, which cuts across the red 99 that leads to Montgenevre in France.
Apres Ski in Claviere
There are several bars that provide a buzzing apres ski atmosphere in Claviere. There are some great restaurants to eat out and enjoy the whole night at.
