Nestling amidst pine forests in the beautiful Rila mountains, Borovets is Bulgaria's oldest established and largest resort, with snow conditions amongst the best in Eastern Europe. It is very popular with British guests who enjoy the good value and fun environment, as well as the colourful local traditions that make skiing here a little more unique! The resort’s 3 easily accessible ski areas ensure plenty of variation and interest for all ski abilities. The Yastrabets area will test improvers whilst more able skiers can tackle the world cup run back to the village. Best served though are first timer skiers who progress under the care of the instructors and will appreciate the group bonhomie. Beginners will get the best possible start with the highly rated ski school. For intermediates there are a good variety of runs and some interesting diversions for experts.

About the Skiing and Boarding in Borovets
In the most visited of the Bulgarian resorts, Borovets offers plenty for the intermediate skier/boarder. There are some great first time ski packages available, while it also offers decent beginner opportunities. Borovets has a limited number of black runs, however it offers some off piste opportunities for the more advanced skier/boarder.
