About the Skiing and Boarding in Are
Are is Sweden's alpine core with over 100 years of skiing tradition.
Are comprises of the ski areas: Are Village, the villages Duved and Tegefjall in the west and also Bjormen in the East.
Mount Areskutan has a vertical drop of 1,040 metres. The terrain varies throughout this scenic resort. It includes some of the most challenging runs in the world - such as Slalombacken and Stortloppet (the downhill course), as well as gentle rolling slopes for beginners. Plus there are terrain parks and plenty of off piste options to keep all types of skier or boarder entertained.
